Prof. Dr. Horst Wildemann

Univ.-Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. mult. Horst Wildemann is an internationally valued expert and industrial advisor working as a consultant, supervisory and advisory board member for leading industrial companies.

  • Developing, refining and implementing for different industrial landscapes essential methodologies and strategies including production systems, platform strategies and technology transfers
  • Through the combination of research institute and management consulting, he repeatedly manages to integrate the results obtained from research and business practice
  • Founder of the Munich Management Colloquium the annual German conference for the most reputable industrial personalities and related representatives from politics, science and media

Professor Wildemann studied mechanical engineering (Dipl.-Ing.) and business administration (Dipl.-Kfm.) In Aachen and Cologne. After several years of practical work as an engineer in the automotive industry, he received his doctorate, stays abroad at the International Management Institute in Brussels and at American universities followed. He completed his habilitation at the University of Cologne (Dr. habil.).

He was awarded the “Staatsmedaille” of the Bavarian State and the federal Cross of Merit, first class, of the Federal Republic of Germany, doctor honoris causa of the university of Klagenfurt, Passau and Cottbus. Further he obtained among others the admission into the Logistics Hall of Fame, the Bavarian Order of Merrit and the badge of honour from the German Federal Logistics Association.
